Arm has made the strategic decision to deprecate the TC2 platform. As
a result, software development and the creation of fast models for TC2
have been officially discontinued. The TC2 platform, now considered
obsolete, has been succeeded by the TC3 and TC4 platforms. Notably,
both TC3 and TC4 are already integrated into TF-A, with TC3 included
in the CI repository. Work to add CI support for TC4 is currently in
progress.

New SoC is a78 based with gicv3 and uart over pl011. Communication
interfaces are similar to Versal NET platform. System starts with AMD PLM
firmware which loads TF-A(bl31) to memory, which is already configured, and
jumps to it. PLM also prepare handoff structure for TF-A with information
what components were load and flags which indicate which EL level SW should
be started.

peripherals.
The added support is minimal and only includes the BL2 stage, with no
MMU enabled. The FIP is preloaded by the BootROM in SRAM, and BL2 copies
BL31 and BL33 from FIP to their designated addresses.

We used to have a dedicated page for deprecated platforms information.
This document contained 2 pieces of information:
a) the process for deprecating a platform port;
b) the list of deprecated platforms to this day.
I think it makes more sense to move b) to the platforms ports landing
page, such that it is more visible.
This also has the nice effect to move the 'Deprecated platforms' title
as the last entry of the 'Platform ports' table of contents, like so:
- Platform ports
- 1. Allwinner ARMv8 SoCs
- 2. Arm Development Platforms
...
- 39. Broadcom Stingray
- Deprecated platforms
instead of it being lost in the middle of supported platform ports.
Regarding a), this gets moved under the "Processes & Policies" section.
More specifically, it gets clubbed with the existing platform
compatibility policy. The combined document gets renamed into a
"Platforms Ports Policy" document.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 is Qualcomm's first 64-bit SoC, released
in 2014 with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores. There are differents variants
(MSM8916, APQ8016(E), ...) that are all very similar. A popular device
based on APQ8016E is the DragonBoard 410c single-board computer,
but the SoC is also used in various mid-range smartphones/tablets.
This commit adds documentation for a minimal, community-maintained port
of TF-A/BL31 for MSM8916. The actual platform port is added in the
following four separate small commits to simplify the review process.
The code is primarily based on the information from the public
Snapdragon 410E Technical Reference Manual [1], combined with a lot of
trial and error to actually make it work.
Note that this port is a pure community effort without any
commercial interests and is not related to Qualcomm in any way.
The main motivation for this port is to have a minimal, updatable
firmware since this old chip does not receive many updates anymore from
Qualcomm. It works quite well for many use cases so I am willing to
maintain it as a "code owner". I have also added Nikita Travkin as
second code owner to help with reviews.
The main limitation so far is the lack of memory protection for TF-A.
This is similar to the ports for the Raspberry Pi but in this case not
a lack of hardware support but rather a lack of documentation. However,
this does not limit the usefulness of the port when used as a minimal
PSCI implementation.

The User Guide document has grown organically over time and
now covers a wide range of topics, making it difficult to
skim read and extract information from. Currently, it covers
these topics and maybe a couple more:
- Requirements (hardware, tools, libs)
- Checking out the repo
- Basic build instructions
- A comprehensive list of build flags
- FIP packaging
- Building specifically for Juno
- Firmware update images
- EL3 payloads
- Preloaded BL33 boot flow
- Running on FVPs
- Running on Juno
I have separated these out into a few groups that become new
documents. Broadly speaking, build instructions for the tools,
for TF-A generally, and for specific scenarios are separated.
Content relating to specific platforms (Juno and the FVPs are
Arm-specific platforms, essentially) has been moved into the
documentation that is specific to those platforms, under
docs/plat/arm.

The list of upstream platforms on the index page is growing
quite long, especially with all the FVP variants being listed
individually.
This patch leverages the "Platform Ports" chapter in the docs
table of contents to condense this information. Almost all
platform ports now have documentation, so the table of
contents serves as the list of upstream platforms by itself.
For those upstream platforms that do not have corresponding
documentation, the top-level "Platform Ports" page mentions
them individually. It also mentions each Arm FVP, just as
the index page did before.
Note that there is an in-progress patch that creates new
platform port documentation for the Arm Juno and Arm FVP
platforms, so this list of "other platforms" will soon be
reduced further as those platforms become part of the
table of contents as well.
