2948d1f819 fix(arm): reinit secure and non-secure tls
Initializing the transfer list using `transfer_list_ensure` allows reuse
of an already initialized transfer list. While this is beneficial when
receiving a transfer list and ensuring one exists, it causes issues
during a system RESET if the old content of SRAM is not cleared.

To prevent this, at least one step in the reset path must zero intialise
the transfer list memory. Unless a previous stage explicitly provides a
transfer list via boot arguments, a fresh transfer list should be
created.

This change ensures that BL1 and BL31 properly reinitialize the transfer
lists, preserving correctness for secure and non-secure handoffs in
TF-A.

ada4e59d16 feat(arm): migrate heap info to fw handoff
Mbed-TLS requires platforms to allocate it a heap for it's own internal
usage. This heap is typically between shared by BL1 and BL2 to conserve
memory. The base address and size of the heap are conveyed from BL1 to
BL2 through the config TB_FW_CONFIG.

This slightly awkward approach necessitates declaring a placeholder node
in the DTS. At runtime, this node is populated with the actual values of
the heap information. Instead, since this is dynamic information, and
simple to represent through C structures, transmit it to later stages
using the firmware handoff framework.

With this migration, remove references to TB_FW_CONFIG when firmware
handoff is enabled, as it is no longer needed. The setup code now relies
solely on TL structures to configure the TB firmware

d570571994 refactor(arm): refactor secure TL initialization
The initialization logic for the secure transfer list is currently
scattered and duplicated across platform setup code. This not only leads
to inefficiency but also complicates access to transfer lists from other
parts of the code without invoking setup functions. For instance,
arm_bl2_setup_next_ep_info acts as a thin wrapper in arm_bl2_setup.c to
provide access to the secure transfer list.

To streamline the interface, all setup code has been consolidated into a
central location.

b65dfe40ae chore(auth)!: remove CryptoCell-712/713 support
CryptoCell-712 and CryptoCell-713 drivers have been deprecated since
TF-A v2.9 and their removal was announced for TF-A v2.10 release.
See [1].

As the release is approaching, this patch deletes these drivers' code as
well as all references to them in the documentation and Arm platforms
code (Nuvoton platform is taken care in a subsequent patch). Associated
build options (ARM_CRYPTOCELL_INTEG and PLAT_CRYPTOCELL_BASE) have also
been removed and thus will have no effect if defined.

This is a breaking change for downstream platforms which use these
drivers.

[1] https://trustedfirmware-a.readthedocs.io/en/v2.9/about/release-information.html#removal-of-deprecated-drivers
Note that TF-A v3.0 release later got renumbered into v2.10.

885e268304 refactor(libc): clean up dependencies in libc
- Removing platform dependencies from libc modules.
- Replacing panicking with actual error handling.
- Debug macros are included indirectly from assert.h. Removing
  "platform_def.h" from assert.h and adding "common/debug.h"
  where the macros are used.
- Removing hack for fixing PLAT_LOG_LEVEL_ASSERT to 40.
Instead removing assert with expression, as this
  does not provide additional information.

402b3cf876 Switch AARCH32/AARCH64 to __aarch64__
NOTE: AARCH32/AARCH64 macros are now deprecated in favor of __aarch64__.

All common C compilers pre-define the same macros to signal which
architecture the code is being compiled for: __arm__ for AArch32 (or
earlier versions) and __aarch64__ for AArch64. There's no need for TF-A
to define its own custom macros for this. In order to unify code with
the export headers (which use __aarch64__ to avoid another dependency),
let's deprecate the AARCH32 and AARCH64 macros and switch the code base
over to the pre-defined standard macro. (Since it is somewhat
unintuitive that __arm__ only means AArch32, let's standardize on only
using __aarch64__.)

b0c97dafe0 plat/arm: introduce wrapper functions to setup secure watchdog
The BL1 stage setup code for ARM platforms sets up the SP805 watchdog
controller as the secure watchdog. But not all ARM platforms use SP805
as the secure watchdog controller.

So introduce two new ARM platform code specific wrapper functions to
start and stop the secure watchdog. These functions then replace the
calls to SP805 driver in common BL1 setup code. All the ARM platforms
implement these wrapper functions by either calling into SP805 driver
or the SBSA watchdog driver.

09d40e0e08 Sanitise includes across codebase
Enforce full include path for includes. Deprecate old paths.

The following folders inside include/lib have been left unchanged:

- include/lib/cpus/${ARCH}
- include/lib/el3_runtime/${ARCH}

The reason for this change is that having a global namespace for
includes isn't a good idea. It defeats one of the advantages of having
folders and it introduces problems that are sometimes subtle (because
you may not know the header you are actually including if there are two
of them).

For example, this patch had to be created because two headers were
called the same way: e0ea0928d5 ("Fix gpio includes of mt8173 platform
to avoid collision."). More recently, this patch has had similar
problems: 46f9b2c3a2 ("drivers: add tzc380 support").

This problem was introduced in commit 4ecca33988 ("Move include and
source files to logical locations"). At that time, there weren't too
many headers so it wasn't a real issue. However, time has shown that
this creates problems.

Platforms that want to preserve the way they include headers may add the
removed paths to PLAT_INCLUDES, but this is discouraged.

03987d01e9 xlat: Fix compatibility between v1 and v2
There are several platforms using arm_setup_page_tables(), which is
supposed to be Arm platform only. This creates several dependency
problems between platforms.

This patch adds the definition XLAT_TABLES_LIB_V2 to the xlat tables lib
v2 makefile. This way it is possible to detect from C code which version
is being used and include the correct header.

The file arm_xlat_tables.h has been renamed to xlat_tables_compat.h and
moved to a common folder. This way, when in doubt, this header can be
used to guarantee compatibility, as it includes the correct header based
on XLAT_TABLES_LIB_V2.

This patch also removes the usage of ARM_XLAT_TABLES_V1 from QEMU (so
that is now locked in xlat lib v2) and ZynqMP (where it was added as a
workaround).

6c77e74915 Fix some violations to MISRA rule 8.3
Wherever we use 'struct foo' and 'foo_t' interchangeably in a
function's declaration and definition, use 'struct foo' consistently
for both, as per the TF-A coding guidelines [1].

3208edcdfe ARM platforms: Initialize cntfrq for BL1 Firmware update
Currenly the CNTFRQ register and system timer is initialized in BL31 for
use by the normal world. During firmware update, the NS-BL1 or NS-BL2U
may need to access the system timer. Hence this patch duplicates the
CNTFRQ and system timer initialization in BL1 as well.

88a0523e91 plat/arm: Migrate AArch64 port to the multi console driver
The old API is deprecated and will eventually be removed.

Arm platforms now use the multi console driver for boot and runtime
consoles. However, the crash console uses the direct console API because
it doesn't need any memory access to work. This makes it more robust
during crashes.

The AArch32 port of the Trusted Firmware doesn't support this new API
yet, so it is only enabled in AArch64 builds. Because of this, the
common code must maintain compatibility with both systems. SP_MIN
doesn't have to be updated because it's only used in AArch32 builds.
The TSP is only used in AArch64, so it only needs to support the new
API without keeping support for the old one.

Special care must be taken because of PSCI_SYSTEM_SUSPEND. In Juno, this
causes the UARTs to reset (except for the one used by the TSP). This
means that they must be unregistered when suspending and re-registered
when resuming. This wasn't a problem with the old driver because it just
restarted the UART, and there were no problems associated with
registering and unregistering consoles.

The size reserved for BL2 has been increased.

This reverts commit 2f18aa1fa3.

It is causing some tests to fail. Until the cause is found and fixed, it
is needed to remove this commit from master.

7b56928a12 Juno: Change the Firmware update detect mechanism
Previously, Juno used to depend on the SSC_GPRETN register to inform
about the reset syndrome. This method was removed when SCP migrated
to the SDS framework. But even the SDS framework doesn't report the
reset syndrome correctly and hence Juno failed to enter Firmware
update mode if BL2 authentication failed.

In addition to that, the error code populated in V2M_SYS_NVFLAGS register
does not seem to be retained any more on Juno across resets. This could
be down to the motherboard firmware not doing the necessary to preserve
the value.

Hence this patch modifies the Juno platform to use the same mechanism to
trigger firmware update as FVP which is to corrupt the FIP TOC on
authentication failure. The implementation in `fvp_err.c` is made common
for ARM platforms and is moved to the new `arm_err.c` file in
plat/arm/common folder. The BL1 and BL2 mmap table entries for Juno
are modified to allow write to the Flash memory address.

c228956afa ARM Platorms: Load TB_FW_CONFIG in BL1
This patch modifies the bl1_platform_setup() API to load and authenticate
TB_FW_CONFIG in BL1. The load address of the same is passed on to BL2 in
`arg0` of entrypoint info. The fvp_io_storage.c and arm_io_storage.c also
adds entries corresponding to TB_FW_CONFIG. A helper function
`arm_load_tb_fw_config()` is added to load and authenticate TB_FW_CONFIG
if present.
