ecd50bb464 boot: Support compressed booti images in bootm
A compressed booti image relies on the compression-format's header at
the start to indicate which compression algorithm is used.

We don't support this elsewhere in U-Boot, so assume that a compressed
file is always a booti file. Once it is compressed, a check is made to
make sure that it actually is.

Simplify the implementation by adding a new function which returns the
booti image-type if compression is detected.

d6bb0ea535 boot: Support booti format in bootm
At present the booti format is handled separately, in its own command.
Provide a way to boot uncompressed booti images within the bootm code,
so that eventually we can boot these images without CONFIG_CMDLINE

Update bootm_init() to attach the images for all formats which use them.

Add some debugging while we are here.

098407e673 boot: arm: riscv: sandbox: Add a format for the booti file
Arm invented a new format for arm64 and something similar is also used
with RISC-V. Add this to the list of supported formats and provide a way
for the format to be detected on both architectures.

Update the genimg_get_format() function to support this.

Fix up switch() statements which don't currently mention this format.
Booti does not support a ramdisk, so this can be ignored.

854a5a00ca image: Add support for starting TFA BL31 as fitImage loadables
Add support for starting TFA from U-Boot running in EL3 as part of
fitImage boot, so the user can start U-Boot in the highest privilege
level on the platform, bundle TFA, Linux, DT into a single fitImage
and boot such a bundle as a whole.

There are two main benefits of this approach. First is the ability
to run U-Boot in EL3, where it has unrestricted access to the entire
system and can act as a useful debug tool, as it was always intended
to be used. Second is the ability to easily and safely update of any
component in the fitImage, be it TFA, Linux or DT.

The boot process is similar to regular Linux with DT fitImage boot
process, except the TFA has to be bundled into the fitImage. For the
bundling instructions, see below. The TFA is started as a 'loadables'
with custom U_BOOT_FIT_LOADABLE_HANDLER and armv8_switch_to_el2_prep()
handling implemented in board code, and performing the handoff and
boot in case the TFA was loaded.

The loadables handler is optional and meant to set up any sort of
handoff structures used by the TFA BL31 or perform any other setup
that is needed by the blob. The custom armv8_switch_to_el2_prep()
has to implement the jump to TFA BL31 with return to U-Boot just
before booting the Linux kernel.

This function is really just getting the data. The size comes along for
the ride. In fact this function is only reliable way to obtain the data
for an image in a FIT, since the FIT may use external data.

79d7b11102 aes: Allow to store randomly generated IV in the FIT
When the initialisation vector is randomly generated, its value shall be
stored in the FIT together with the encrypted data. The changes allow to
store the IV in the FIT also in the case where the key is not stored in
the DTB but retrieved somewhere else at runtime.

abadcda24b bootstd: android: don't read whole partition sizes
The current implementation is reading the whole partition for boot and
vendor_boot image which can be long following the size of the
partition or the time to read blocks (driver/SoC specific).

For example with mediatek mt8365 EVK board, we have a 64MiB boot
partition and the boot image flashed in this partition is only 42MiB.
It takes ~8-9 secs to read the boot partition.

Instead we can retrieved the boot image and vendor boot image size
with these new functions:
- android_image_get_bootimg_size
- android_image_get_vendor_bootimg_size
Use these information and read only the necessary.

By doing this with mt8365 EVK board, we read boot image in ~5 secs.

This is a follow-up from an earlier RFC series [1] for making the LMB
and EFI memory allocations work together. This is a non-rfc version
with only the LMB part of the patches, for making the LMB memory map
global and persistent.

This is part one of a set of patches which aim to have the LMB and EFI
memory allocations work together. This requires making the LMB memory
map global and persistent, instead of having local, caller specific
maps. This is being done keeping in mind the usage of LMB memory by
platforms where the same memory region can be used to load multiple
different images. What is not allowed is to overwrite memory that has
been allocated by the other module, currently the EFI memory
module. This is being achieved by introducing a new flag,
LMB_NOOVERWRITE, which represents memory which cannot be re-requested
once allocated.

The data structures (alloced lists) required for maintaining the LMB
map are initialised during board init. The LMB module is enabled by
default for the main U-Boot image, while it needs to be enabled for
SPL. This version also uses a stack implementation, as suggested by
Simon Glass to temporarily store the lmb structure instance which is
used during normal operation when running lmb tests. This does away
with the need to run the lmb tests separately.

The tests have been tweaked where needed because of these changes.

The second part of the patches, to be sent subsequently, would work on
having the EFI allocations work with the LMB API's.

ed17a33fed lmb: make LMB memory map persistent and global
The current LMB API's for allocating and reserving memory use a
per-caller based memory view. Memory allocated by a caller can then be
overwritten by another caller. Make these allocations and reservations
persistent using the alloced list data structure.

Two alloced lists are declared -- one for the available(free) memory,
and one for the used memory. Once full, the list can then be extended
at runtime.

6509c3fe1c boot: android: fix booting without a ramdisk
android_image_get_ramdisk() will return an error if there is no ramdisk.
Using the android image without a ramdisk worked until commit
1ce8e10f3b ("image: Fix up ANDROID_BOOT_IMAGE ramdisk code") because
the return code wasn't checked until then. Return -ENOENT in case
there is no ramdisk and translate that into -ENOPKG in the calling
code, which will then indicate "no ramdisk" to its caller
(boot_get_ramdisk()).

This way, we can get rid of the "*rd_data = *rd_len = 0;" in the error
path, too.

With this, I'm able to boot a linux kernel using fastboot again:

  fastboot --base 0x41000000 --header-version 2 --dtb /path/to/dtb \
  --cmdline "root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rootwait" boot path/to/Image

a525656c5b android: boot: Add set_abootimg_addr() and set_avendor_bootimg_addr()
The only way to configure the load addresses for both bootimg and
vendor_bootimg is by using the "abootimg" command.
If we want to use the C API, there is no equivalent.

Add set_abootimg_addr() and set_avendor_bootimg_addr() so that we can
specify the load address from C.

This can be useful for implementing an Android bootmethod.

"For devices launching with Android 13, the generic ramdisk is removed
from the boot image and placed in a separate init_boot image.
This change leaves the boot image with only the GKI kernel."

While at it, update wrong error handling message when vendor_boot
cannot be loaded.

a4df06e41f boot: fdt: Change type of env_get_bootm_low() to phys_addr_t
Change type of ulong env_get_bootm_low() to phys_addr_t env_get_bootm_low().
The PPC/LS systems already treat env_get_bootm_low() result as phys_addr_t,
while the function itself still returns ulong. This is potentially dangerous
on 64bit systems, where ulong might not be large enough to hold the content
of "bootm_low" environment variable. Fix it by using phys_addr_t, similar to
what env_get_bootm_size() does, which returns phys_size_t .

03e598263e tools: fix build without LIBCRYPTO support
Commit cb9faa6f98 ("tools: Use a single target-independent config to
enable OpenSSL") introduced a target-independent configuration to build
crypto features in host tools.

But since commit 2c21256b27 ("hash: Use Kconfig to enable hashing in
host tools and SPL") the build without OpenSSL is broken, due to FIT
signature/encryption features. Add missing conditional compilation
tokens to fix this.

The problem is that the arm64 magic is checked before the image is
decompressed. However this is only part of it. The kernel_noload image
type doesn't work with compression, since the kernel is not loaded. So
this series deals with that by using an lmb-allocated buffer for the
uncompressed kernel.

Another issue is that the arm64 handling is done too early, before the
image is loaded. This series moves it to after loading, so that
compression can be handled.

A patch is included to show the kernel load-address, so it is easy to
see what is going on.

One annoying feature of arm64 is that the image is often copied to
another address. It might be possible for U-Boot to figure that out
earlier and decompress it to the right place, but perhaps not.

With all of this it should be possible to boot a compressed kernel on
any of the 990 arm64 boards supported by Linux, although I have only
tested two.

Rather than having boot_get_fdt() calculate this, move the calculation
into the caller. This removes the access to argv[0] in this function,
so we can later refactor it to just accept argv[2] instead of the whole
argv[].

while we are here.

This function normally only uses one argument so pass it in directly.
Move comments to the header file so could one day include these
functions in API docs. Fix up the u8 argument while here, since it
avoids the compiler having to mask the value on some machines.

The Android case here is bit strange, since it can use argv[0], so deal
with that in the caller.

Renesas RZ/N1 devices contain BootROM code that loads a custom SPKG

SPKGs can optionally be signed, however creation of signed SPKG is not
currently supported.

Example of how to use it:

tools/mkimage -n board/schneider/rzn1-snarc/spkgimage.cfg \
	-T spkgimage -a 0x20040000 -e 0x20040000 \
	-d u-boot.bin u-boot.bin.spkg

The config file (spkgimage.cfg in this example) contains additional
parameters such as NAND ECC settings.

Enable the support for boot image header version 3 and 4
using abootimg command.

In order to use version 3 or 4:

1- Vendor boot image address should be given to abootimg cmd.

	abootimg addr $1 $vendor_boot_load_addr

2- "ramdisk_addr_r" env variable (ramdisk address) should be set to host
the ramdisk : generic ramdisk + vendor ramdisk

Replace "struct andr_boot_img_hdr_v0*" by "void *" in
some functions since v3 and v4 are now supported as well.

f48efa0edb android: boot: kcomp: support andr_image_data
andr_image_data structure is used as a global representation of
boot image header structure. Introduce this new structure to
support all boot header versions : v0,v1.v2.v3.v4 and to support
v3 and v4 while maitaining support for v0,v1,v2.
The need of using andr_image_data comes from the change of header
structure in both version 3 and 4.

Rework android_image_get_kcomp()  to support this new struct.

30f3333d88 image: Move common image code to image_board and command
We should use the cmd/ directory for commands rather than for common code
used elsewhere in U-Boot. Move the common 'source' code into
image-board.c to achieve this.

The image_source_script() function needs to call run_command_list()  so
seems to belong better in the command library. Move and rename it.

bcc85b96b5 cmd: source: Support specifying config name
As discussed previously [1,2], the source command is not safe to use with
verified boot unless there is a key with required = "images" (which has its
own problems). This is because if such a key is absent, signatures are
verified but not required. It is assumed that configuration nodes will
provide the signature. Because the source command does not use
configurations to determine the image to source, effectively no
verification takes place.

To address this, allow specifying configuration nodes. We use the same
syntax as the bootm command (helpfully provided for us by fit_parse_conf).
By default, we first try the default config and then the default image. To
force using a config, # must be present in the command (e.g. `source
$loadaddr#my-conf`). For convenience, the config may be omitted, just like
the address may be (e.g. `source \#`). This also works for images
(`source :` behaves exactly like `source` currently does).
